I’ve fallen behind on posting running updates. Last time I reported in was at the end of May. I was well ahead of my goal of running 500 miles this year. But for more than a month I had been battling a hip injury. I had to take my semi-annual Army Physical Fitness Test on June 9th and after that, I took month off from running to give my hip a chance to heal.
In place of running I took up biking. I rode 84.74 miles and burned 9,568 in June and July. Pretty good totals. Biking is OK and it’s low impact blah, blah, blah, but it bores me to tears! I was overjoyed to get back to running.
Now that I’m back to full speed running, I’ve made up ground very quickly. Expect to see a bigger number next time.
