People who THINK

January 10, 2012

I saw a bumper sticker on the rear bumper of a luxury car that said “people who THINK vote DEMOCRAT”. This message seems to imply that if you are not a Democrat, you are a stupid, repulsive, heartless beast called a Republican. Well, I’ve never voted Democrat once in all my life and I think a lot.

I think the Democratic Party has been hijacked by secular humanist leftist elites.
I think the only time a Democrat is concerned about deficits is when a Republican sits in the Oval Office.
I think the Republican Party has lost its way.
I think that Socialism and Communism are one and the same and Communism is alive and well in our country.
I think that most politicians are liars and are only looking out for their next election.
I think that America’s sovereignty is more important than her diversity.

I think that abortion is murder, not a “right to choose”.
I think that the First Amendment’s right of free speech means I can call the President a liar on the floor of Congress without having to worry about “disappearing” in the middle of the night. It is not about someone’s right to watch porn on the internet.
I think that the Second Amendment’s “right of the people to keep and bear arms” is the only thing that will guarantee my First Amendment rights.

I think that the earth’s climate will always be in flux. If you believe the tales of an earth that is a billion years old, then who are you to THINK that you know anything about climate change.

I think that a peace prize given for someone’s intentions instead of their deeds is a farce and disgraces those whose deeds actually amounted to something.

I think anyone who kills in the name of Allah is a terrorist.
I think that the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist.
I think that people who commit crimes are criminals not victims.
I think that the death penalty is just what it says “a penalty”. It is not a deterrent.

I think that things like a job, health care, education, and cable TV are privileges, not rights.

I think that a nation divided will soon fall.

No, you don’t think; you feel. There’s no thinking going on in those statements.

Your right, I “feel” that the America my father fought for in WWII is slipping away. When the number of people who work and pay taxes becomes outnumbered by those on “entitlement” programs, it’s over for all the good Americans have contributed to the greatest country in the world. Read your history, it is repeating itself again.

You’re right, the country your father fought for is gone, but it’s not entitlement programs that have destroyed it; it’s corporate power, the military industrial complex, the prison industrial complex, and basically too much money in politics. We the people no longer have a real voice. A vote for a Republican is a vote for corporatism, which is another name for fascism. If you value what your father fought for and against, there’s no way you could vote Republican. He didn’t fight fascism so that you could vote for it. He’d be ashamed of you.
