Korean M-1’s Coming?

December 8, 2011

Good News. The State Department is re-considering the request to import thousands of M-1 Garands and Carbines from the Republic of Korea. A couple of years back, they had banned the importation of the World War 2 era rifles on the grounds that “criminals” would get a hold of them and use them to wreak havoc on the streets of America.

My guess is that the Obama Administration has reversed course because they want the ATF to give the guns to Mexican Drug Cartels.

If you like guns, you must have an M-1 Garand. This importation will allow 80,000 more Americans to own “the  greatest battle implement ever devised“. If you don’t have one, get one.

I’m in if it retails cheaper than the SOCOM II.

They are well under what a SOCOM runs. Currently, CMP has several grades of them, starting around $600. Much better than what you will find at a local gun show.
